Title:
Civil Engineer (Transmission Line Projects) BOC-1934 – Civil Engineer (Transmission Line Projects) - Power projects
Civil engineer will be tasked with the following job description:
* Perform the function of Civil Engineer on large or complex projects, including greenfield projects and brownfield ones. * Perform structural and civil calculations like foundation calculations, piling, earthworks, retaining walls, dynamic calculations, steel structures, blast-resistant buildings, transmission line towers, substation buildings, etc. * Interpretation of geotechnical reports. * Prepare contract requisitions for civil and structural work on assigned projects. * Check, comment, and approval of steel shop drawings. * Coordination with the civil/structural team and also with other teams of different disciplines. * Ensure that all civil/structural engineering works on assigned projects are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the project specifications. * Carry out periodic inspection of civil and structural work during construction to ensure correct interpretation of designs and issue completion certificates for structural work carried out on assigned projects. * Perform design document reviews from EPC contractors. * Perform field reviews of work during construction. * Analysis of design issues and recommendations for s corrective actions. * Determine construction cost and material estimates based on civil designs. * Do field survey & investigate to prepare engineering drawings review of design drawings. * Study of construction drawings and preparation for works. * Preparation of site working documentation bar bending schedules * Preparation of site modifications (required for site conditions) and obtaining clearances for the same from design department. * Review and finalize list of material submittals and coordinating and obtaining approvals. * Preparation of method statements, submission and obtaining approvals.
Experience:
* Experience in a consulting engineering environment, able to rapidly task switch between projects. * Working knowledge of International Standards and Codes (ASCE, IBC, Eurocodes, AISC, ACI, etc.) * Must have worked in STAAD software and Mat3 D in Analysis & Design. * Specialist Engineer in Engineering Design and Detailing of Civil & Structural works of Power Plant and Transmission Line projects. * Should have relevant experience in structural design of substation foundations and building and transmission line towers. * Preparing cost effective design for EPC projects
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering * Minimum 15 years’ experience in transmission line design/ power generation plants * Command of Arabic and English languages is preferred locationsDubai, United Arab Emirates time typeFull time posted onPosted 2 Days Ago *
